                            WATER CONSERVATION

PATRIOTISM

INDIAN PATRIOTISM
PATRIOTISM

Patriotism is a feeling of love and devotion towards one’s motherland. It is a sacred bond between a citizen and his country.
Patriotism is the feeling which inspired our great freedom fighters  to struggle against the British rule.
Patriotism is the attachment and commitment to a country, nation and political community.
The Premchandra, Rabindranath Tagore and Bankim Chandra spread patriotic feelings through their literary works. Mahatma Gandhi sowed the seeds of love, truth and Ahinsa and inspired the public to become united under the banner of freedom and succeeded in over-throwing the foreign rule.
In the modern conditions, more the crisis deepens, discontent mounts and disruption or disorder spreads in the society. As a result of this the legitimacy of patriotism is reduced. Exhortation in the name of patriotism becomes louder. And as these exhortation are increasingly recognized as patriotism, the real patriotism grows tired and flabby.
Patriostism depends on unity, love and Ahinsa. Lack of patriotism is a serious threat to humanity.
Start thinking about unity, love and Ahinsa rather than Nuclear weapons, as whole world is our home.
Many elder people still make an effort to instil the feeling of patriotism in children. School, Colleges and institutes also promotes the same. The youth of the Country must love and respect the feeling of patriotism.

DEMOCRACY

INDIAN DEMOCRACY
DEMOCRACY

The term ‘democracy’ enchants people. Democracy is primarily a political concept, but is has grealty influenced and shaped the ethical, social and economic concepts as well. Its ultimate goal is to establish ethical, social and economic democracy.
In recent years, democracy in India has come under heavy strains and stresses which are like dark dismal shadows over set-up. Nation is presently confronted with a series of paradoxes. Our Independence has brought partition. Human tragedy, caravans of refugees going from one side to another and much else. Despite these massive problems and misfortunes that our country has faced since independence, our society has remained a lawful society. But our leaders of today have forgotten that ultimately power is meant for people, and for the benefit of the people.
Democracy ultimately ha to functions the way political parties are functioning. The people have become very cynical about the functioning of the political parties. Our political system ha also become corrupt. Criminal elements have entered in politics.
Democracy in India has been put in danger by a number of factors that are geo-political, social, economic and even anti-national. Formal democracy is too weak to functional properly in India. If these kinds of things continue people’s faith in whatever the nature and quality of democracy we have experienced will diminish.
